Proof of Liabilities

Implementation Details

We're using Olivier Lalonde's implementation of Proof of Liabilities. Our proofs are compatible with the verification tool found at http://syskall.com/proof-of-liabilities. Our reports are generated every 24 hours.

Your Partial Tree

Your partial tree is used to prove that your balance is included in the sum of the root node, while revealing as little details about other users as possible, to respect their privacy (and yours).

The Root Node

The root node is of critical importance, it gives the sum of all our liabilities. This node is also proof that your total is included in the sum.

Proof of Reserves

At Bitvest, our coins are stored in three wallets. We use a hot wallet, typically holding 1 - 2% of the reserves, a Trezor wallet held by Zodiac, and a Trezor wallet held by Lightlord.

Below are signatures proving ownership of each address/xPubKey, and links to show the balance of each. The hot wallet is not shown to help protect user privacy, however, the wallets below should generally equal 98+% reserve.

If the reserves are slightly under the liability total above, It's due to the liabilities being slightly out of date, or ~1-2% of reserves being in the hot wallet.
